All Marlins to wear No. 16 in Fernandez tribute
With heavy hearts, the Miami Marlins will take the field Monday night for the first time since Jose Fernandez was tragically killed Sunday morning. But they're making sure that Fernandez will be with them on the field for all nine innings.
All Marlins players and coaches will be wearing Fernandez's No. 16 on their backs against the New York Mets, according to Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald.

After word of Fernandez's death was announced and Sunday's home game against the Atlanta Braves was canceled, workers painted No. 16 on the pitcher's mound.
In New York, Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes taped a Fernandez jersey to the dugout wall as a tribute to his fellow Cuban.
