Mets sign Fernandez jersey, will present it as gift to Marlins
The New York Mets continue to remember Jose Fernandez, and continue to lend support to their brothers on the Miami Marlins.
After Fernandez died tragically in a boating accident on Sunday morning, the Mets - led by fellow Cuban Yoenis Cespedes - hung a "Fernandez 16" Mets jersey in their dugout at Citi Field; they then brought the jersey with them to Marlins Park, where they dropped an emotional contest to the grieving Marlins on Monday night.
