Angels' Alex Meyer: Goes just four frames Wednesday
Meyer was removed after only four innings Wednesday against the A's after allowing two runs on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
Analysis:
This was the beginning of a good start, but Meyer never got the chance to finish it. His season thus concludes with an unsightly 5.68 ERA and 1.66 WHIP, numbers that seem to offer precious little promise for the future. Aside from his strikeout totals, Meyer's stats in the minors weren't so hot, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him eventually find a home in the bullpen rather than the rotation.
