Twitter confuses Cubs' Lester for NBC's Lester Holt
Being a National Cy Young candidate on a 102-win Chicago Cubs team typically warrants enough attention as is, but that didn't matter to a handful of Twitter users after the first Presidential debate on Sept. 26.
NBC anchor Lester Holt, who moderated the debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, was mistakenly confused by Twitter users for Cubs pitcher Jon Lester, who took the vilification in stride.
@tmehadi9589 Hey bud, you've got the wrong Lester

@MikeBrowne44 I'll be pretty busy doing my own thing so I think I'll be okay. Perhaps you should send this to Lester Holt

@thephilosotroll I'm sure Lester Holt would appreciate that, you should tweet at him

@IamyHuckleberry Whoa buddy, pretty sure you have the wrong Lester.

@SharNeal hey Sharon, might want to dig a little deeper in your Twitter search. I think you meant @LesterHoltNBC

A possible reason behind the confusion could be that Holt's Twitter name is one below Lester's on the popular social media website, leading to the 19-game winner letting the good people know they had made a mistake.
