Lindor's game-winning HR gives Indians ALCS lead

The first blow goes to Francisco Lindor.

Cleveland's star shortstop blasted a two-run home run off Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Marco Estrada in the sixth inning and Corey Kluber, Andrew Miller, and Cody Allen combined to throw nine shutout innings, propelling the Indians to a 2-0 win in Game 1 of the ALCS.

Estrada limited the Indians' offense to four singles and a walk before Lindor went deep to right-center field for his second home run of the postseason.

"He's a star," Miller told reporters. "He deserves all the credit he gets. He deserves more, honestly."

The 22-year-old became the second-youngest player behind Derek Jeter to homer in the ALCS and is the first Indians player to hit a go-ahead postseason home run in the sixth inning or later since Kenny Lofton did it in 1998, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
