Majestic Apparel may be out as MLB's official producer of on-field apparel.
MLB and Under Armour have agreed to a deal that will see the Baltimore-based athletic apparel company take over as the league's official producer of on-field apparel in 2020, according to Terry Lefton of SportsBusiness Daily.
Along with Under Armour taking over as MLB's official supplier of jerseys, Lefton reports online sports merchandise retailer Fanatics would gain "broad apparel rights across MLB." The company already runs MLB's online shop.
Majestic Apparel's current contract with MLB expires in 2019, while Under Armour's deal is reportedly set to kick in the following spring.
Majestic has served as the official supplier for uniforms in MLB since 2005.
