Giancarlo Stanton may be on vacation, but he hasn't forgotten about his fallen teammate.
The Miami Marlins slugger is currently in Brazil along with teammate A.J. Ramos and Los Angeles Angels pitcher Ricky Nolasco - who played with the Marlins from 2006-13 - where he unveiled a wall painted in tribute to Fernandez, whose nickname was "El Nino," on Instagram:
"Saudades," the Portuguese word in the art above Fernandez's nickname, does not have a literal translation in English, but is best defined as the intense feelings felt when someone or something is strongly missed.
Fernandez was killed in a boating accident in the early morning of Sept. 25.
He was 24.
