Despite failing to move past the division series for the third time in five years, the Washington Nationals will be led by the same coaching staff in 2017.
The Nationals announced Thursday that manager Dusty Baker's entire staff will be retained for next season. Coaches Mike Maddux, Jacque Jones, and Chris Speier were all in their first seasons with the Nationals.
Baker's first year as Nationals' manager was a regular-season success, as he guided the team to 95 wins and a division title. Washington eventually lost in Game 5 of the NLDS to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
