A wild pitch has factored into what's become a wild Game 7.

Trailing 5-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Cleveland Indians quickly got back into the game in an unlikely way, scoring two runs on a wild pitch from Chicago Cubs starter Jon Lester, who was making his first relief appearance since the 2007 American League Championship Series.

With Jason Kipnis and Carlos Santana on second and third, Lester's pitch bounced directly off catcher David Ross' mask, knocking him down and delaying his pursuit of the wild pitch which trickled all the way to the on-deck circle. Santana scored easily, while Kipnis hustled all the way from second, diving at home plate to barely beat the tag from Lester.

It's unlikely any baseball fan wants this game to end, considering how entertaining it's been so far.
