The Chicago Cubs are World Series champions for the first time in 108 years, and their Game 7 showdown with the Cleveland Indians was seen by a whole lot of viewers.
According to FOX Sports PR, the contest delivered a 25.2 overnight rating - highest for a Major League Baseball game since Game 7 of the 2001 World Series between the Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Yankees.
The rating was also 66 percent higher than Game 7 of the 2014 World Series between the San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals.
Sports TV Ratings reports the extra-innings contest was nearly seven points higher than Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.
