Phillies trade Jimmy Cordero to Nationals for PTBNL

The Philadelphia Phillies have traded right-hander Jimmy Cordero to the Washington Nationals for a player to be named later.
Cordero, a 25-year-old native of the Dominican Republic, completed his fifth season in the minors, reaching Triple-A Lehigh this season.
Overall in 2016, he compiled a 3.80 ERA in 170 1/3 innings pitched.
