Barry Zito releases music video for lead single 'Secret to Life'
Former 23-game winner Barry Zito is hoping to emerge as a threat yet again, this time in the music industry.
In the process of prepping his debut country album, Zito recently dropped his lead single - "Secret to Life" - accompanied by a music video, which shows the 38-year-old totally in his element, backwards hat and all.
It remains to be seen if Zito has what it takes to compete with the likes of Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert, but one thing is certain: Zito is pursuing his passion with fierce dedication.
Zito spent 15 years in the majors with the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants. After a promising first seven years, when he won 102 games with the A's from 2000-2006, he failed to live up to hefty expectations upon signing a record-breaking seven-year, $126-million deal with the Giants in 2007, the highest for any pitcher in major-league history at the time.
