Braves' Ruiz gives dad his 1st hit for Christmas
Rio Ruiz is a man of his word.
When he was a kid, Ruiz promised that he'd give his father his first major-league hit and jersey. The highly touted Atlanta Braves third-base prospect was able to fulfill that pledge in a big way, as Ruiz gifted his dad both items for Christmas - an act that left the proud papa stunned and overwhelmed with emotion.

But the 22-year-old didn't stop there. In addition to the jersey and ball, Ruiz also framed the lineup card from that Sept. 28 game as an extra surprise for dad.
