Kansas City Royals fans continue to gather at Kauffman Stadium to pay their respects to the late Yordano Ventura, including 94-year-old Maxine Bell, who left hospice care so she could visit the memorial Monday.
Bell's daughter, Joyce Angerman, told KCTV's Amy Anderson that her mother said she needed to come down to the memorial and say goodbye.
"I never missed a game that I could see," Bell said. "We're losing such a good pitcher - bless his heart."
Ventura, 25, died Sunday in a car accident in his native Dominican Republic.
