Fowler and Obama crossed paths last month at the White House when the World Series-winning Chicago Cubs visited before current President Donald Trump took over office.
Obama - a Chicago native and White Sox fan - received a number of gifts from the Cubs, while Fowler hand delivered the 44th president a pair of custom Jordan sneakers.
