Giants' Buster Posey: Scratched with stiff neck

Posey was scratched from Wednesday's exhibition due to a stiff neck, but it is believed to be minor, CSN Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic reports.

Analysis:

It's still very early in the spring, so this should have no effect on Posey's availability for Opening Day. He could miss a few more spring games, however. Posey is on track to catch slightly fewer games this upcoming season after fatigue came into play for him down the stretch last year. While his at-bats may dip slightly, he could still improve on his 2016 numbers, which were his worst since his injury-shortened 2011 campaign.
