Indians' Cody Anderson: Has mild UCL sprain
Anderson was diagnosed with a mild sprain of the UCL in his right elbow, and he'll spend a few days deciding on his next step in treatment, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
Analysis:
Not the best news for Anderson, who already had a debridement removed from the same throwing elbow in the offseason, though there's still some hope. The right-hander could opt for rest and other treatments, as it doesn't sound like a clear-cut case for Tommy John surgery for the 26-year-old, who has bounced between the rotation and the bullpen in recent years.
