Watch: Astros' Correa plays pepper with puppy

Carlos Correa shared on Instagram on Tuesday that he may not only have the cutest dog in baseball, but he also trained and named the puppy well.

Groot - as the pup is referred to in the caption - has already been shown how to retrieve a baseball.

Apparently a fan of the Marvel franchise "Guardians of the Galaxy," the Puerto Rican shortstop captioned the photo suggesting that his dog son "wants to be just like Dad." One can only assume that the creation of a dog-only baseball league is in the works, with Groot being the league's best shortstop.
