Rays' Jaime Schultz: Sent to Durham

Schultz was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

Schultz worked 14.2 innings for the Rays this spring, posting a 1.84 ERA and striking out 22 batters. The clock on his service time has yet to start, however, so the team will keep the 25-year-old in the minors until more bullpen help is needed.
