Rangers' Delino DeShields Jr.: Excluded from Opening Day lineup

Analysis:

DeShields made a compelling case for a starting assignment for Opening Day after amassing a .442 OBP and a 14-for-14 success rate on stolen-base attempts in spring training, but manager Jeff Banister will instead roll with Jurickson Profar in left field Monday, relegating DeShields to a bench role. It's unclear whether Banister plans to proceed with Profar as his primary left fielder or he'll rotate DeShields into the lineup semi-regularly, but until there's more clarity on that front, it may be wise to stash the speedster on the bench in most fantasy leagues.
