Hitter Stacks
- Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees (RHP Luis Severino): The Rays ranked 12th in team wOBA and 11th in slugging percentage against right-handed pitching last season. Severino has allowed left-handed hitters to slug .396 for his career. Tampa Bay will be able to take advantage of the short right-field wall of Yankee Stadium.
3-player stack: OF Corey Dickerson (50K), SS Brad Miller (48K), 1B Logan Morrison (44K)
- San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies (RHP Jon Gray): The Giants had the second-best team strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers last season, whiffing in just 17.3 percent of all plate appearances. Their 9.5 percent walk rate ranked third. Gray gave up five earned runs to the Milwaukee Brewers in his first road start of the season. The Giants won't mimic the Brewers' seven strikeouts.
3-player stack: OF Denard Span (39K), 1B Brandon Belt (52K), SS Brandon Crawford (45K)
- Oakland Athletics at Kansas City Royals (LHP Jason Vargas): The Athletics boast a team wOBA ranked just 22nd against lefties so far this season. They do have an adequate 9.9 percent walk rate and 18.5 percent strikeout rate. Vargas has allowed righties to slash .259/.318/.427 for his career. Lock in the Athletics' top three hitters.
3-player stack: SS Marcus Semien (55K), OF Khris Davis (64K), 3B Ryon Healy (55K)
Pitcher Breakdown

- TARGET - LHP Francisco Liriano (82K), Blue Jays (vs. Orioles): The 33-year-old Liriano lasted just one out in his season debut, allowing four walks, three hits and five earned runs to the Rays. While the Rays had the league's worst strikeout rate against lefties a year ago, the Orioles also ranked in the bottom half of the league. They ranked 26th in team slugging percentage against lefties.
- BARGAIN - RHP Robert Gsellman (54K), Mets (at Marlins): Gsellman allowed two walks, six hits and three earned runs over five innings in his first start of the season, but he did strike out seven. He faces the same Marlins team, Thursday. He'll be able to return value with a similar strikeout total, if he's able to keep the ball in the park.
- FADE - LHP Wei-Yin Chen (76K), Marlins (vs. Mets): The Mets ranked 13th in team wOBA against lefties last season, but their 8.7 percent strikeout rate ranked in the bottom third of the league. Chen struck out five and walked just one over six innings in his season debut. He allowed just seven homers at home last season.
- CONTRARIAN - RHP Bronson Arroyo (64K), Reds (vs. Brewers): Arroyo hadn't pitched in the major leagues since 2014, before his four-inning debut this season in which he allowed three walks, six hits and six earned runs. He did manage to record three strikeouts, offering some hope in a matchup against a Brewers team which struck out in a league-worst 25.8 percent of plate appearances against righties in 2016.

Bargain Plays
- 2B Raul Mondesi Jr. (37K), Royals (vs. Athletics): Mondesi is buried in the ninth spot of the Royals depth chart, but the switch-hitter has hit all three of his career home runs off right-handers in 121 plate appearances, and he is a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts. The A's send lackluster righy Jesse Hahn to the mound.
- 1B Trey Mancini (41K), Orioles (at Blue Jays): A platoon specialist, Mancini has hit .316 against lefties with three home runs in 19 career plate appearances. Mancini has appeared in the fifth spot of the order in three of his 10 games this season.
- OF Mallex Smith (40K), Rays (at Yankees): Smith has drawn an even three walks to three strikeouts through 23 appearances against righties this season. Four of his five hits have been singles, with the other being a double, but he has converted all three stolen base attempts. He's an option whenever used in the strong side of his platoon.

Top Fades
- OF Jacoby Ellsbury (48K), Yankees (vs. Rays): Ellsbury has been frequently batting fifth in the Yankees order this season, resulting in just three runs and one RBI. His one homer this year came from the spot, but he lacks reliable power, taking away RBI opportunities whilst in the heart of the order. He has attempted just one stolen base.
- 1B Chris Davis (45K), Orioles (at Blue Jays): Davis' career .237 against left-handed pitching took a hit last season with his .216 average. He did draw 23 walks to 64 strikeouts, but he has four strikeouts and no walks in 13 plate appearances this season. Liriano has a career K/9 of 9.55 against lefty hitters.
- 2B Devon Travis (52K), Blue Jays (vs. Orioles): Travis has opened the season just 2-for-30 with two walks against right-handed pitching. While he will soon begin positively regressing toward his career mean, he isn't worthy of being priced in the upper echelon of middle infielders on any slate.

Contrarian Plays
- OF Adam Duvall (52K), Reds (vs. Brewers): A right-handed hitter, Duvall has 11 hits and three walks in 32 PAs against righty pitching, including two doubles and two homers. He has a career slugging percentage of .512 against righties but an average of just .246 and an OBP of .297. He has as many strikeouts at home as on the road in 53 fewer plate appearances.
- 2B Dee Gordon (47K), Marlins (vs. Mets): Gordon is hitting .318 in 23 PAs against righties this season, but he's yet to draw a walk. He's 3-for-4 in total stolen base attempts, but Mets catchers held opposing base runners to a modest 75 percent success in 2016.
