The new statue of "The Kid" outside Safeco Field got a very special visitor.
In honor of Ken Griffey Jr.'s storied Seattle Mariners career, the club built the Hall of Famer his own statue, formally unveiling it to the public Thursday. Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg couldn't attend the official ceremony, but stopped by to shower Griffey with praise and gave the monument his seal of approval.
