Sano suspended 1 game for altercation with Tigers
Minnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano has been suspended one game for his role in an altercation Saturday with Detroit Tigers catcher James McCann, the league announced.
The Twins are appealing the suspension, meaning Sano will be available to play Monday against the Texas Rangers.
In an attempt to get revenge for an earlier incident that saw Tigers outfielder JaCoby Jones unintentionally drilled in the face by a 90-mph pitch, left-hander Matt Boyd threw behind Sano, visibly upsetting the 23-year-old slugger.

McCann appeared to say something to Sano, who then shoved the Tigers catcher. Cooler heads eventually prevailed, though Boyd and Sano were ejected from the game.
Boyd, meanwhile, was not suspended but was fined an undisclosed amount.
