After playing for 13 innings, Javier Baez was more than ready to get the party started.
The Chicago Cubs completed a wild 6-5 walk-off win over the Philadelphia Phillies in the 13th inning Thursday afternoon when Freddy Galvis' throwing error allowed Albert Almora Jr. to come around and score the game-winning run. Baez must have anticipated this outcome, as he came to the celebration prepared: within seconds of the clinching run scoring he was on the field joyously dousing the pile of his teammates with an old-fashioned water gun.
Sure, a water fight at Wrigley Field sounds fun - but try telling that to all those players getting soaked with cold water in 47-degree weather while wearing short sleeves.
