Christian Arroyo drew first blood against a special friend Friday.
The San Francisco Giants rookie, 21, found himself going toe to toe with fellow Hernando High School alumnus and namesake Bronson Arroyo, 40, in the second inning against the Cincinnati Reds. The Giants' Arroyo came out on top, slugging a 1-0 offering into left-center field for a solo home run.
The two Arroyos have been friends since the Giants rookie was drafted in 2013, and neither of them were shy about discussing their similar stories prior to Friday's contest.
A pair of Arroyo's that are unrelated, but have a great relationship.
