Watch: Kiermaier's botched play results in Little League HR for Cain
Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports
Even Platinum Glove winners make defensive mistakes sometimes.
Lorenzo Cain was the benefactor of a costly error by Tampa Bay Rays center fielder Kevin Kiermaier during Monday's game that turned a single into a Little League home run.
The Kansas City Royals speedster hit an RBI single up the middle in the third inning that snuck under the glove of a charging Kiermaier and rolled along the turf, almost making it to the warning track.
Cain circled the bases in just 15 seconds to score the run.
