Mets hope to alleviate fans' stress with fidget spinner giveaway
New York Mets fans unable to deal with the stresses of this season will have some temporary relief.
Closer Jeurys Familia became the latest in a long line of Mets players to have succumbed to the injury bug this season, with the reliever undergoing surgery Friday to alleviate a blood clot in his armpit area. Add in the fact stars Noah Syndergaard and Yoenis Cespedes are already sidelined for several weeks with lat and hamstring issues, respectively, and it's hard not to feel antsy about the Metropolitans.
So, in the case that applies to you, you may want to head to Citi Field on Sept. 10, as the team announced Friday the first 15,000 fans in attendance will now receive a special Mets fidget spinner, the perfect toy to temporarily distract you from a horrible season and relieve all that stress:
Promo Schedule Update: Sunday, September 10 is now #Mets Fidget Spinner presented by P.C. Richard & Son. https://t.co/0gCVLpvul0 pic.twitter.com/J13aT9JUJs
