Big Papi has a degree, thanks to Boston University.
David Ortiz was recently given an honorary degree from the Boston institution, and while he tried to remain cool as a cucumber behind a blank expression and sunglasses after accepting the award, the lighthearted 41-year-old still had time to flash the audience a smile and glowingly accept the honor before other grads gave him a standing ovation.
Ortiz retired after the 2016 season following a 20-year career in the big leagues which included 541 home runs and 1,768 RBIs. He won three World Series with the Red Sox.
