Scooter Gennett matched his season home run total in just six innings Tuesday.

The Cincinnati Reds outfielder went deep three times through his first four at-bats against the St. Louis Cardinals to give him six homers on the season.

Gennett hit an RBI single in the bottom of the first, and followed with his second-career grand slam two innings later. With one on in the fourth, Gennett homered again, and proceeded to go deep for a third time in the sixth inning.

The 27-year-old became the first Reds player with at least three home runs and eight RBIs since Smoky Burgess in 1955, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

Gennett's previous career highs were two homers, and five RBIs in a single game.
