Mariners' Tyler Cloyd: Notches first win Friday
Cloyd (1-0) fired a scoreless seventh inning in Friday's 4-2 win over the Blue Jays, giving up two hits and recording a strikeout.
Analysis:
The 30-year-old right-hander was in line for the win once Danny Valencia and Jarrod Dyson roped a pair of RBI singles in the home half of the frame to give the Mariners a 3-2 lead. It was Cloyd's first appearance since being called up from Triple-A Tacoma on June 2 and marked his first time on a big-league mound since 2013 while with the Phillies.
