Los Angeles Dodgers rookie first baseman and outfielder Cody Bellinger continued his record-setting start Tuesday with his fourth multi-home run performance, becoming the first player since 1900 to accomplish the feat in their first 45 games, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
It didn't come easily. Bellinger's first of two home runs Tuesday came against star southpaw reliever Andrew Miller, with No. 2 hit off left-hander Boone Logan. Bellinger, who bats left, has now hit five home runs and 16 RBIs off southpaws.
The 21-year-old is hitting .261/.335/.630 since being called up April 25, with 17 home runs and 39 RBIs.
