Well, that may be a first.
With Wednesday night's game between the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals tied at five in the ninth inning, Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera not only ran through a stop sign put up by third base coach Juan Samuel in an attempt to score at home, but also ran around Samuel in the process.
Herrera was out by a mile thanks to his baserunning gaffe, and was pulled from the contest as part of a double switch to begin the next inning.
