Look: Pham wears cleats customized by 2 young cancer patients

The Little League Classic between the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates that took place Sunday evening drew high praise for bringing something unique and refreshing to the game, but a certain special story surrounding the event may have been the most heartwarming moment from the night.

Cardinals outfielder Tommy Pham didn't have time to order custom cleats for Sunday's game, so the 29-year-old came up with a plan that couldn't have worked out any better.

Pham had his outfitter send him two pairs of white cleats, and gave one to his nephew to customize. The other was sent to St. Louis General Hospital where two sick kids put their artful minds to work, according to MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch.

Two young artists named Lamarion (age 7) and Chloe (age 5), both of whom are battling cancer, each designed a shoe for Pham.

Pham wore the pair decorated by the sick children during Sunday's event and will wear the cleats designed by his nephew next weekend.
