Indians' winning streak reaches 22 games after walk-off in extra innings

Just when it looked like it was all over, the Cleveland Indians prevailed.

The Indians extended their historic winning streak to 22 games Thursday night after defeating the Kansas City Royals 3-2 in a come-from-behind victory during extra innings at Progressive Field.

With the Royals on top 2-1 in the ninth inning, Cleveland was down to its final strike when Francisco Lindor doubled to tie the game at two.

Jay Bruce hit a line drive in the 10th inning to bring home Jose Ramirez for the game-winning run.

Cleveland's streak is the longest in the last 100 years, with the New York Giants holding the record at 26 games, although an unrecorded tie-game occurred in the middle of their streak.
