Well, that escalated quickly.

The New York Yankees weren't about to go quietly into the good night after the Minnesota Twins tagged Luis Severino for three runs in just 1/3 of an inning.

New York immediately got to Twins starter Ervin Santana In the bottom of that fateful first, with shortstop Didi Gregorius taking Santana deep to right field for a three-run shot that tied the game at 3-3 and sent Yankee Stadium into a frenzy that was reminiscent of what the old stadium across the street used to sound like in October.

For Gregorius - who broke Derek Jeter's Yankees record for single-season homers by a shortstop this year - Tuesday's blast marked his first career postseason homer.
