Ric Flair to yell 'Play Ball' ahead of Game 7 in Houston
It's the most exciting event in sports: a Game 7. And when there's one in the offing, you bring out the big guns.
The Houston Astros are pulling out all the stops for Saturday's winner-take-all clash at Minute Maid Park against the New York Yankees. Prior to the game, wrestling legend Ric Flair will start the proceedings by yelling "Play Ball," the Houston Chronicle reported Thursday.
Expect the Nature Boy to punctuate those words with his own famous rally cry that will surely fire up the Houston crowd.
There's already a connection between the wrestler and the baseball team, as Astros outfielder Josh Reddick uses Flair's theme song as his walk-up music.
Flair's appearance in Houston will come just two months after he was hospitalized due to serious health issues that left him in a medically induced coma.
