The Oakland Athletics are in agreement with right-handed pitcher Yusmeiro Petit on a two-year, $10-million deal with a club option, his agent told The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.
Petit's deal pays him $3.5 million in 2018 and $5.5 million in 2019, with a $1-million buyout on his $5.5-million club option, Rosenthal reports.
The 33-year-old appeared in 60 games - one start - and pitched 91 1/3 innings for the Los Angeles Angels last season, posting a 2.76 ERA and a strikeout rate of 10.0 per nine.
Oakland's bullpen finished 25th in ERA last season across 553 1/3 innings pitched.
Petit, a 10-year, major-league veteran is 28-34 with a 4.31 ERA and 1.23 WHIP during his career. He's spent time with the Angels, San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks, Washington Nationals, and Florida Marlins.
