Orioles' Gausman, Tillman serve as honorary bat boys after losing at fantasy football
Baltimore Orioles starters Chris Tillman and Kevin Gausman weren't scheduled to pitch Saturday, but that doesn't mean the pair weren't playing a major role in the game.
The two fared poorly in the past fantasy football season, and as punishment, they had to serve as the Orioles' honorary bat boys for the afternoon.
And by the looks of things, their teammates weren't letting them off easy. Both had to sit next to the on-deck circle, retrieve equipment, and deliver baseballs to the umpire.
Yes, it’s true. Kevin Gausman and Chris Tillman are serving as bat boys for today’s game, duties they apparently must serve for fielding poor fantasy football teams last year. This job is not in name only. They are retrieving bats, giving the HP ump baseballs. #Orioles pic.twitter.com/5vcwJD4AWK
