Blue Jays will play top prospects Vlad Jr., Bichette in Montreal series
The Toronto Blue Jays are going to give Canada a glimpse into the future next week when they travel to Montreal to participate in a two-game spring series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Top prospects Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (No. 1) and Bo Bichette (No. 2) will both appear in games, according to Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun.
Toronto's two-game set against St. Louis takes place Monday and Tuesday and will conclude its preseason.
Guerrero Jr.'s father, Vladimir, was a key member of the Montreal Expos during an eight-year span from 1996-2003.
The younger Guerrero has had success in limited action with the Blue Jays this spring, posting a 1.444 OPS in nine at-bats.
Bichette, son of former big-league All-Star, Dante, has also shined during limited spring action, slugging .857 in seven at-bats, which included a mesmerizing opposite-field home run Thursday.
