D-Backs' Lovullo, Cardinals' Molina suspended 1 game for heated incident
Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo and St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina have each been suspended one game for their confrontation during Sunday's game.
The incident occurred during the second inning, when Lovullo came out to argue a called third strike and claimed Molina's pitch-framing skills influenced the call by home plate umpire Tim Timmons. Lovullo's comments incensed Molina, who came after the skipper, pushing the umpire in the process.

"(Lovullo) called me a motherf----- twice," Molina said postgame. "If you're going to call somebody that, you better be ready to fight."
Molina was scheduled to serve his suspension Tuesday, but has elected to appeal. Lovullo, who was also fined an undisclosed amount, will miss Arizona's game Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants.
Lovullo later apologized for his comments, and said he regretted his role in the altercation.
''I used a poor choice of words and he (Molina) took offense to it,'' Lovuollo said. ''I wish I could take back what I said. It really wasn't directed at him. I was just frustrated over what I was watching.''
