'Tyler' Bauer modifies jersey following Twitter beef with Astros
Trevor Bauer is officially in the "OK, I'm going to own it" phase of getting destroyed online by Alex Bregman.
After Bauer insinuated on Twitter earlier this month that Houston's pitchers were doctoring the baseball to increase the spin rate on their pitches, Bregman, the Astros third baseman, defended his teammates, telling Bauer to relax before referring to the Cleveland Indians right-hander as "Tyler." At the risk of editorializing, it was a sick burn.
So, on Friday, Bauer showed up to his club's series opener against the Astros at Minute Maid Park rocking a hilariously modified jersey.

Any real animosity between Bauer and the Astros appears to have been squashed, though. Ahead of Friday's series opener, Bauer made a donation to Astros right-hander Lance McCullers' charity, which promotes pet adoption and raises awareness for shelters and programs, as part of his ongoing '69 Days of Giving' campaign.
