Astros draft Clemson slugger Seth Beer 28th overall
With the 28th pick in the 2018 MLB amateur draft, the Houston Astros selected Seth Beer, a junior first baseman and outfielder from Clemson University.
In 2016, the Suwanee, Ga., native became the first freshman to ever win the Dick Howser Trophy as NCAA's baseball player of the year.
