Votto has hilarious response to Seinfeld, Letterman discussing him on Netflix
How could anyone not like Joey Votto?
Comedians sure do enjoy his play. The most recent episode of David Letterman's hit Netflix show "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" features the former "Late Show" host sitting down with stand-up great Jerry Seinfeld, and the comic legends took time during the interview to swap stories about the Cincinnati Reds first baseman.
It turns out both Letterman - a lifelong Reds fan - and Seinfeld have had some brief in-game interactions with Votto, who's known almost as much for his peculiarities as he is for his skills in the batter's box.
Two solid minutes of Jerry Seinfeld and David Letterman discussing their interactions with Joey Votto.

(Can you imagine if Votto was just randomly watching this on Netflix one day. Had to be surreal.) pic.twitter.com/ukGxeph5aA
Votto told The Athletic's C. Trent Rosecrans that he did catch the Netflix program, but his version of the events discussed seems to vary significantly from those of Seinfeld and Letterman.
I asked Joey Votto about @JerrySeinfeld and David Letterman trading Joey Votto stories on Letterman's @netflix show. His response (and I'm not kidding, this is really what he said, he is likely kidding, though): pic.twitter.com/yZoptXpn0z

We have some serious doubts about Votto's recollection here. For one thing, had he started yelling "Cartwright," there's no way his friend would have answered.
Alas, the only way to prove who's telling the truth here might be to give Votto a polygraph test. Of course, he'd probably beat the machine as easily as he beats an extreme pull shift - because, as Votto likely knows, it's not a lie if you believe it.
