Phillies' Hoskins debuts 'Magneto' helmet in return from fractured jaw
The Philadelphia Phillies got a much-needed jolt back into their lineup as Rhys Hoskins returned from a fractured jaw wearing a new modified helmet.
Hoskins, who fouled a ball off of his face at the end of May, is wearing a new batting helmet fitted with a pair of c-flaps in his return from the disabled list. The Phillies slugger said the double face protection reminded him of X-Men villain Magneto, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.

The 25-year-old first baseman and outfielder has been among the Phillies' most valuable players this season, boasting a .363 OBP over 52 games with six homers prior to his injury.
With Hoskins sidelined, though, the Phillies went 2-7, including suffering a sweep at the hands of the San Francisco Giants which saw Philadelphia muster one run over three games.
Despite fracturing his jaw on the freak play, Hoskins was able to dodge surgery and missed just over the minimum time for a 10-day DL stint before his activation prior to Saturday's contest against the Milwaukee Brewers.
