Big Papi, Torii Hunter to manage at All-Star Futures Game
The Futures Game is going to feature a taste of the past.
Ten-time All-Star and former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz and nine-time Gold Glove winner and former Minnesota Twins outfielder Torii Hunter will manage the World team and U.S. team, respectively, at the All-Star Futures Game on July 15, MLB Communications announced.
The Futures Game displays some of the best prospects in all of baseball and will take place prior to the MLB All-Star Game, which is set for July 17. Both will be played at Nationals Park in Washington.
Some of the current MLB players who took part in the Futures Game last season are Rhys Hoskins and Scott Kingery of the Philadelphia Phillies, Yoan Moncada of the Chicago White Sox, and Ronald Acuna Jr. of the Atlanta Braves.
