To paraphrase Harry Doyle, Alex Bregman was jusssssst a bit short.
The Houston Astros third baseman went on a run near the end of his first round at the Home Run Derby and had his opponent Kyle Schwarber sweating. But Bregman narrowly missed advancing to the semi-finals when his fly ball missed the stands by just a few feet and settled on the warning track right at the buzzer, sending Schwarber to the second round of the competition with a narrow 16-15 victory.
