The remarkable comeback story of Jonny Venters will return to where it all started for the left-hander.
Venters was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Atlanta Braves on Thursday in exchange for international slot money, the team announced.
Tampa will receive $250,000 in bonus pool money in the trade, according to a source of MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.
The 33-year-old made his big-league debut for the Braves in 2010 and was a dominant reliever in Atlanta before multiple Tommy John surgeries temporarily derailed his career.
