MLB releases 2018 postseason schedule

The postseason schedule for Major League Baseball is set to get underway Oct. 2, with the National League wild-card game followed by the American League wild-card game on Oct. 3, the league announced Thursday.

After the wild-card round decides who will get to face the top team in each league, the division series will get underway on Oct. 4. Both NLDS series will be played on identical days. Same goes for the two ALDS series, with times still to be determined:
