When New York Yankees left-hander CC Sabathia steps on the hill at Camden Yards in Baltimore on Friday for his first start since Aug. 12, his cleats will honor a remarkable group.
Sabathia posted a photo of the cleats he'll wear for Players' Weekend, which are titled the "Black Aces."
The gold and white shoes pay homage to the 15 African-American pitchers in the history of Major League Baseball who have won 20 games.
Among the names listed on the cleats are Dwight Gooden, Ferguson Jenkins, and Dave Stewart.
Sabathia won 21 games in 2010 with the Yankees.
