2019 MLB Draft order set: Orioles land No. 1 pick

The Baltimore Orioles' historically bad season resulted in at least one positive, as the 115-loss club will have the No. 1 pick in the 2019 MLB Draft.

It marks the second time in team history that the Orioles will have the top pick. Baltimore selected right-hander Ben McDonald with the first pick of the 1989 draft, taking him ahead of several eventual Hall of Famers, including Frank Thomas, Jeff Bagwell, Trevor Hoffman, and Jim Thome.

High school shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. and Oregon State catcher Adley Rutschman are among the projected players who could be selected with the first pick.
